With paintings already acquired for private collections in Brisbane, Canberra, Japan, Canada and Hollywood USA, Tanwyn is fascinated with the impact that nature has upon the psyche, and the exchange that can occur between human and animal Intelligences.
Tanwyn attributes her passion for the Australian environment and its native inhabitants to her time growing up in rural South-East Queensland, where she enjoyed exploring creeks and climbing mountains.
An enthusiasm for sumi-e has Tanwyn deeply involved in the Queensland Kinyu Sumi-e Academy, and she enjoys seeing people discover the peaceful joy that is Sumi-e painting.
Tanwyn believes in the restorative and enlivening experience of art, and of the natural environment, and seeks to immerse herself in, and further express, this philosophy through her creations.
